LOH PLOT
Inspired by legendary mainstream manga series like "One Punch Man", the plot revolves around the life of Hel: the Grim Reaper and the all-powerful entity Death has been fired. Exiled to the mortal world, he seeks to get his job back by catching the rogue soul Rēji, a slightly senile man who has escaped death for over a thousand years. Hel will stop at nothing to take him down and will not let Gods or his part-time job get in his way.
PLOT ARCS
一
ARC
The first arc introduces the core of the rivalry between REJI and HEL.
REJI is unable to get his revenge on those who destroyed his home village while constantly dodging HEL. HEL, on the other hand, believes he will only get his job back by killing the only soul that has ever evaded him. Despite their appearance, both characters are old and bitter. They’ve spent so many years alone and seeing only loss that they’ve grown cynical and sarcastic and have trouble making friends.

CHARACTERS
x
HEL
The sarcastic protagonist. Hel is cynical and witty and always has to have the last word. The dark heritage of his former 'executive position' makes him intimidating and unapproachable while having a very short fuse. He wears his emotions out on his sleeves. As time goes on, it is revealed he’s capable of being more human than he even knows. Above all, he is driven by the sole purpose to kill Rēji.
REJI
The quiet rival with a dark past. While he appears 15, he is capable of great wisdom and insight. He is clever and tactical while always a step ahead of Hel. He comes off as an introvert, afraid to make friends because he knows they will die and he won't. However, to those he comes to care he opens up and shows he can be as kind and senile as the next old man.
x
UMI
Rēji’s classmate, age 15. A foil to Rēji. When he accidentally saves her from a new reaper, she becomes an immortal. Umi embraces her new power and becomes a superhero with a reluctant Hel. She’s sweet and caring, but if you cross her, she’ll show why she’s also a Wushu champion-level fighter. She keeps Rēji in line and distracts Hel at times so he can escape. She is also best friends with Vita.
x
VITA
The angel of life. She appears to be the same age as Umi and Rēji, but she is even older than Hel. She was retired as well. Vita loves life, blood sports, sweets, and she is hyper-optimistic. She reads minds for fun but can only read those of the souls she has created. If she is in a good mood, she can also create life on a whim. She’s in love with Hel and will fight anyone for him, but her lack of basic knowledge of the human world causes him more trouble than anything.
x
KAKAN
Hel’s cousin from hell. Kakan is forced to retire when the river Styx modernizes with a motorboat. But luckily, he still received some benefits. Now, he works in the human world alongside Hel. He's chatty and super sociable but has a weakness for women and an even greater soft spot for money. Hel's cousin tends to pursue alternative goals when helping Hel in his plots to kill Rēji.
x
711 (REAPER gen2)
One of Hel's replacement directly created from the Gods. 711 is part of the new Reapers squad that ensures that the cycle of "Life and Death" continues on the mortal realm since Hel has been retired.
Fun fact: this time and probably for good reason, the Gods decided against adding the ability to speak to Gen2 Reapers.
x
BEELZE
A relative of Hel. He is notorious for having great ambitions and a constant grudge towards Hel. His next master plan will create a lot of issues for Hel and his new life on Earth.
x
ICHI (gOD #1)
A laid back God with no idea of how life on Earth works but is always fascinated by it. He has the resemblances of a young kid but his power falls beyond imagination. Ichi is always carrying Tamoy, his favorite stuffed animal, with him.
x
NI (gOD #2)
Ni is strict and enforcing. He punishes Hel whenever he is out of line or disrespectful. The two have a kind of father and son relationship.
x
SAN (gOD #3)
San is very well spoken, quiet, peaceful, and is the one Hel fears the most. She is always adding new things to his life to help him ‘cope’ but they actually only add to his misery.
